What's On in the Hawkesbury

Now is a great time to take a drive up the Bells Line of Road. Apples are still available for pick your own in Bilpin for a few more weeks, so bring the whole family and enjoy the country side. Fruit and produce can also be bought from road side stalls in the area. It’s also the perfect time for autumn colour with a trip to Wildwood Garden Bilpin, the Blue Mountain Botanic Garden Mt Tomah or one of the many gardens in Mt Wilson.

This weekend is the annual Hobby & Motor Show held in the School of Arts Hall East Kurrajong. Many exhibits which include classic & vintage vehicles, antique tools & machinery, local artists, crafts, plants, stamps, coins and much more. Refreshments are available on-sit. 9am-3pm Saturday & Sunday, with a $5 entry fee.

Step back in time this Sunday at the Australiana Pioneer Village Heritage Festival. Watch the Blacksmith at work, join an 1880’s school lesson and see what life was like without power tools at the Carpentry Shop. Demonstrations of crafts used in everyday life back in the 1800’s. 10am-4pm.

GHOST TERRITORY TOURS presents- SUPERNATURAL SHOWTIME at Regent Theatre Richmond.

REGENT THEATRE RICHMOND opened its grand doors in 1935 as a live theatre venue but has since been converted to a cinema that is still operating today. 20 lucky patrons will become honorary members of team PACT (Paranormal and Cryptid Task-force) and will have their very own ghost hunting kit to utilize during the night, joining Rob (Wolfman) Wilson and PACT as they hold the VERY FIRST paranormal investigation at the historic Regent Theatre.
This 2 hour investigation based event is split into 3 sections;
ACT 1- The History chat; Learn about the buildings owners and the evolution into the cinema that it is today.
ACT 2- The Tour; Join Rob as he shows you around The Regent, this is where you will hear ghost stories and other fun facts about this heritage Hawkesbury gem.
ACT 3/ Finale- The Ghost hunt!!! Use modern and traditional techniques to investigate the claims of paranormal activity.
Please be advised that patrons are not allowed to bring their own food and drink into the cinema, HOWEVER, the candy bar will be open to purchase delicious cinema snacks to consume during the evening, ensuring that Supernatural Showtime will be a very unique paranormal event, focusing on inhancing the fun and positive energy that the building feeds off, and hopefully then connecting to it's ghostly inhabitants.
