What's On in the Hawkesbury
This weekend promises fun in the Hawkesbury for all the family.
Take the time to wander through one of our Hawkesbury markets. There’s the Saturday Richmond Good Food Markets in Richmond Park 8-1pm and the Bilpin Community Markets Saturday 10-12. Or if craft, clothing, food and entertainment are what you’re after try the Windsor Mall Sunday Markets 9-3pm. For motorcycle enthusiasts there’s the Oily Rag Spring Auction at North Richmond Saturday and Sunday with viewing throughout the week.
You have only a couple of weeks left to visit the stunning Wildwood Garden at Bilpin so be sure to take the drive up this weekend. Open Friday – Monday this spring spectacular is a must see.
The Hawkesbury Classic Paddle is on Saturday with races starting at Macquarie Park Windsor from 4pm. A test of physical and mental endurance, this event is an 111km overnight paddle from Windsor to Mooney Mooney open to all forms of paddlecraft. Free for spectators.
On Sunday head to Hawkesbury Showground for the Convoy for Kids Free Family Fun Day 9am – 3pm. There’ll be free rides and treats for kids, food and merchandise stalls, Rod2Mod, truck viewing, robot combat wars, live music, displays and more. Supporting the work of NETS.
Take the time to learn about the 11 Stories from the river Dyarubbin at the Hawkesbury Regional Museum Sunday 10am -12.30pm. A behind the scenes view of the audio walk with composer and producer Oonagh Sher and an opportunity to use the audio walk and guide yourself along the riverside returning to the museum for a Q & A and light refreshments. $5 fee bookings essential. BYO device and headphones.
