Entangled Grounds

Entangled Grounds

Exhibition runs Saturday 6 June - Sunday 23 August Saturday 15 August 2026 Free

Event details

Yandell Walto| Mar Serinyà Gou

Entangled Grounds brings together new works by Yandell Walton and Mar Serinyà Gou, developed during residencies at BigCi on the edge of the Wollemi National Park and presented in partnership with Hawkesbury Regional Gallery.

The exhibition explores how artists can work with the land as an active collaborator rather than a subject. Yandell Walton’s Becoming With uses digitally generated environments shaped by environmental forces and nonhuman agency, while Mar Serinyà Gou’s Back to the Beginning responds to place through elemental, land-based actions and performances. Together, the works reflect on cycles of change, interconnection and our place within the natural world.

Richmond Players presents Are You Being Served

Richmond Players presents Are You Being Served

Saturday 15 August 2026 Tickets - Adults $30, Concession $25

Event details

Based on the BBC Sitcom, “Are You Being Served?” is a light-hearted observation of the lives of the staff of the fictional department store Grace Brothers. The show is focused on the staff dealing with interpersonal relationships and events affecting the running of the store. The script is somewhat a parody of the British class system, evidenced using the characters’ surnames and their titles, rarely their Christian names. The show features humour based on sexual innuendo, misunderstanding, mistaken identity, farce, sight gags and occasional slapstick. The show is laced with double entendres and is distinctly a snapshot of its time and place, 1970s Britain. The play takes place in the Grace Bros department store and at the Don Bernardino Hotel, Spain.

August 8 7.30pm, August 15, 22 and 29 - 2pm and 7.30pm.

Written by David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd.
