Hawkesbury Show 2026

The 2026 event was a great success, we look forward to the show returning in 2027.
The 2026 Hawkesbury Show will be held from 24–26 April, making it one of the must-visit Hawkesbury events in 2026. Spanning three action-packed days, the Hawkesbury Show is the region’s largest agricultural event and the biggest non-Royal show in New South Wales.
Visitors can expect a huge program of entertainment and high-energy action, from live music and on-stage performances to classic crowd favourites like pig racing, motorbike stunts, working dogs and wood-chopping competitions. Agricultural traditions remain at the heart of the event, with cow-milking demonstrations, equestrian events and the ever-popular Animal Nursery delighting all ages.
The showground also comes alive with a massive line-up of amusement rides and Side Show Alley, alongside diverse shopping stalls, local produce and community exhibits. And once the sun goes down, fireworks light up the sky on both Friday and Saturday nights!
While fairy floss and ferris wheels are part of the fun, agricultural shows like the Hawkesbury Show play a much bigger role. They celebrate the district’s rich farming heritage and showcase the region’s agricultural excellence, bringing together top-quality livestock and produce through competitions, displays and educational experiences for all to enjoy.
The showground pavilions are a major highlight of the Hawkesbury Show experience, hosting a wide range of competitive sections that celebrate both agricultural excellence and community creativity. Visitors exploring the Hawkesbury Show can wander through displays featuring agriculture, fruit, apiculture (beekeeping), horticulture, cooking and preserves, along with art, photography, crafts and LEGO. Livestock competitions are also a key attraction, including sheep and wool, cattle, donkeys, poultry, birds, dogs and cats.
These Hawkesbury Show competitions are known for being friendly yet fiercely contested, with awards highly sought after by entrants from across the state. One of the things that makes agricultural shows in NSW so special is their inclusivity, anyone can enter. Whether you’re young or old, local to the Hawkesbury, visiting from Sydney, or travelling in from regional NSW, there’s a category for everyone. (Just remember that all sections require pre-entry before the show.)
