performers at Hawkesbury festThis August, Governor Phillip Park in Windsor will come alive with colour, sound, and community spirit as Hawkesbury Fest 2026 returns for another exciting day of family-friendly fun, local showcases, and free entertainment.

Held on Sunday, 9 August 2026, from 10am to 3pm, Hawkesbury Fest is part of Local Government Week and offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors alike to connect with local services, discover community groups, and enjoy a vibrant day out along the picturesque banks of the Hawkesbury River.

A Day for Everyone

This year’s event is set to be bigger than ever, with something for all ages and interests. From thrill-seekers to food lovers, curious kids to craft lovers, Hawkesbury Fest has it all.

This year there will be a brand-new sports zone featuring local netball, cricket, AFL, Soccer and Swimming Clubs as well and a community performance stage. A parkour course will also be a new highlight to the event.

Food, Market Stalls and More

Visitors can sample their way through a smorgasbord of street food with food vendors serving everything from sweet Dutch poffertjes and donuts to savoury dumplings, gozleme, and fresh made pizzas. Market stalls will showcase local artisans, handmade goods, boutique products, and community-run stalls.

Connect with Council and Community

A key highlight of Hawkesbury Fest is the opportunity to meet and interact with representatives from Hawkesbury City Council and over  local community organisations. Visitors can explore Council's dedicated zones on topics such as sustainability, arts and culture, local projects, emergency services, and animal services.

A Welcoming, Inclusive Event

Hawkesbury Fest continues to prioritise accessibility and inclusion. From 10am to 11am, the festival will feature a Sensory Hour, offering a quieter, low-sensory environment for attendees who may find crowds or noise overwhelming. The event is also dog-friendly, with pets welcome on lead.

A True Celebration of Hawkesbury

With more than 10,000 attendees at last year’s festival, Hawkesbury Fest has fast become one of the region’s most anticipated annual events - a celebration of place, people, and pride in the Hawkesbury.

So, gather your friends, bring the family and head down to Governor Phillip Park on Sunday 9 August for a day filled with fun, discovery, and community connection.
